BIOGRAPHY

Throughout its 27 years of existence, the band ‘AlcoholicA - Tribute to Metallica’ has contributed to the success of hundreds of events and festivals, thanks to the dedication of their fans who are always present. Their shows are regularly sold out due to the loyalty of their audience, who sometimes come to see them multiple times a year. Additionally, they have a significant presence on social media, as evidenced by their Facebook page, which now has over 18,000 fans.

AlcoholicA is also frequently cited as one of the pioneers of tribute bands in Quebec. The band is no stranger to renowned media outlets; they have been invited several times to give interviews on the radio and perform live on television shows, such as Benoit Gagnon’s “Le Retour” and the famous quiz show “Le Banquier”. In 2017, AlcoholicA also headlined the official show for Canada’s 150th anniversary in Rimouski.

For more than a quarter-century, AlcoholicA’s performance schedule has been packed, with sometimes over 100 shows per year in the most prestigious festivals, concert halls, and bars across Canada such as;
  • Woodstock en Beauce (35 000 spectators)
  • Jonquière en musique (10 000 spectateurs)
  • Festival de la releve, Thetford Mines (14 000 spectators)
  • Club Soda, Montréal (900 spectators)
  • Pepsi Coliseum, Qc. City (8000 spectators)
  • L'Agora, Qc. City (5 000 spectators)
  • Bike Show, Rivière du loup (4000 spectators)
  • Festival Grand Rire de Quebec, Qc. City (3500 spectators)
In 2004, the members of AlcoholicA had the honor of meeting the famous band Metallica during their last visit to Montreal, where James Hetfield said: “Thanks for keeping the spirit of Metallica alive when we are away”. Following this meeting, photos and videos of this memorable moment, titled “Metallica meets AlcoholicA”, were published on Metallica’s official ‘Met Club’ site. Two days later, the members of the band Godsmack, which has sold several million albums, attended an AlcoholicA show in Quebec City. Sully, the lead singer, mentioned that he has been captivated by the depth, passion, and precision of AlcoholicA’s performance. That same evening, some members of Metallica’s tour team, including Flemming Rasmussen (engineer and co-producer of the albums “Ride The Lightning” (1984) and “Master of Puppets” (1986)), ended their night by attending AlcoholicA’s show and were impressed by the quality of their performance.

Jean-François Vincenti – bassist (NonHuman Era) and founding member of AlcoholicA, Pierre St-Jean – singer and guitarist (Heaven’s Cry, NonHuman Era, Voivod), the talented Sebastien Dubuc on drums, and either of their two virtuoso guitarists, Jay Lupien or Sam Dufour, promise to deliver a performance like you’ve never seen or heard before! Rest assured, AlcoholicA will make your evening a truly memorable one!
